5 Interesting TED Talks You Should Watch

In this blog we have tried to cover some of the interesting ted talks one would love to watch on education, mental health, and so on TED — which stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design — features “ideas worth spreading”.
 
We human beings are very curious, we want to learn, see and experience new things every day and when we do, we want to share it with the world. Similarly, people have shared some interesting, eye opening things which will give you a new dimension to think.

1. Do Schools Kill Creativity? - By Sir Ken Robinson

It is the most watched ted talk of all time, educationalist Sir Ken Robinson talks about creativity and it is as important in education as literacy. He is very humorous and gives an example of a young girl called Gillian Lynne. He also emphasize on how mistakes should not be stigmatized but rather be seen as part of the learning process.

2. There’s No Shame in Taking Care of Your Mental Health - By Sangu Delle

In this talk Sangu Delle talks about his depression and how he learned to handle anxiety in a society that’s uncomfortable with emotions. As he says: “Being honest about how we feel doesn’t make us weak — it makes us human.”

3. Teaching One Child at a Time - By Shukla Bose

Shukla Bose is the founder and head of the Parikrma Humanity Foundation, an extraordinary nonprofit that runs schools for poor children in urban India. In this talk she passionately speaks about her journey of starting Paikrma Foundation with some of the eye opening facts about the poor children in India. She also talked about how she got transformed with the journey. A must watch if you want to make a change, you need to know the ground reality.

4. This is what happens when you reply to spam email – By James Veitch

In this hilarious talk, James Veitch a comedian walks us through the interesting experience when he replied to spam emails. He also wrote a book on this experience called Dot Con.

5. The Thrilling Potential of Sixth Sense – By Pranav Mistry

Pranav Mistry, one of the India’s greatest mind. He was way ahead in the future, even before we knew AR & VR devices, Pranav Mistry made a device called The Sixth Sense. In this talk he talks about how he experimented with simple daily objects and made something amazing. This is a must watch video, it will inspire you and make you wonder at the same time.

Bonus Talk: Thoughts on Humanity, Fame & Love – By Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan, the man that needs no introduction. In this talk King Khan takes us back to his early days, from the refugee camp in New Delhi where he was born to the night his father died when Khan was only 14.
